Unfortunately I’m in a bit of a weird situation where I’m waiting to upgrade OS X in order to use Omnifocus 3 on desktop b/c of various OS X audio issues. While I know iOS has a lot of weirdness, ideally there would be keyboard shortcut parity (as much as possible) between the iOS and desktop versions so those of us who use keyboard shortcuts a lot can develop a great muscle memory w/Omnifocus cross-platform. Id like to be able to manipulate mindmap while sharing it with everyone online, but the lack of this feature prevents me from moving to Miro. When I tap on Project A so it is highlighted in the sidebar it does then work. The de facto standard for listing a shortcut is listing the modifier key, a plus symbol, and another key. I.E., if I have a folder, and projects A and B in the folder, if my sidebar is focused on the folder, and my main view is focused on project A, cmd-n does not create a new task for project A. When presented like this, it’s trivial to segue from one idea to the next and form ideas that you didn’t realize you had in you. At their core they’re just an outline, but they’re presented on an infinite canvas. If you’ve never used mind maps before, I highly recommend them. You can create them with a keyboard shortcut ( + L), or by selecting the option in the Node menu. It’s a niche use case but when I need it, nothing is better than a mind map, and MindNode is a fantastic tool for building them.
